"This paper applies a social ecology perspective to property rights structures which occur in Southeast Asian fisheries resource allocation and development. Various property rights models are examined with respect to key principles in human ecology such as growth, sustainability, adaptation and organization. Case study materials from the region will be used to incorporate and illustrate the interrelatedness between property rights and ecological principles. the paper concludes with a discussion of scope and limitations social ecology holds for fisheries allocation and development." |
