Abstract: From the Introduction: "...This paper is a critical reflection of the NTCDCs experience in building effective approaches to community-based natural resource management in the Nusa Tenggara region. It attempts to synthesize the key lessons learned from both failure and success, as well as assess the relative impact it has made on governance, conflict management, and institutional reform. The paper draws from case studies from Nusa Tenggara. In particular it draws attention to the importance of working with multiple approaches at multiple scales with multiple stakeholders."
