Abstract: "In this study we begin inquiry into the potential value of information in the IBIS via an experimental game of water distribution played by farmers in Punjab province. This experiment is part of a larger project being undertaken jointly by IFPRI and IWMI that includes a pilot study of flow monitoring and reporting in the Hakra command area of Punjab. The broad goals of these efforts are to evaluate the potential impacts that improved information can have on farmer decisions and behavior, and thus on system-level efficiency and equity outcomes in the system."
