Abstract:	"The seminar reported here, 'Water Security - Opportunity for Development and Co-operation in the Aral Sea Basin', is the next Swedish step. Its aim was to present ongoing framework programs and research work working to reach water security and to provide a forum for discussion of future-looking methodologies. The report contains an extensive overview of the Aral Sea's problems as well as some of the ongoing programs and activities aimed at minimizing the effects on land, ecosystems and human health and living conditions."
