"Estimation of the magnitude of sinks and sources of carbon requires reliable estimates of the biomass of individual trees. For the investigation sequesteredcarbon stalk in six year young age Annonaretiaculataspecies from the university campus of Aurangabad is measured. The rate of carbon sequestered aboveground biomass was estimated using the ash method. The percentage of carbon content in the aboveground biomass in leaves, stem, sub-branches and bark of Annonaretiaculata(except root) were 53.67 + 2.08 %, 57.24 + 0 %, 55.24 + 0.13% and 53.08 + 1.17% respectively. The total above ground biomass carbon stalk per hectare as estimated for Annonaretiaculata was 83.1Kg C ha-1." |
