institutional analysis--IAD framework
Abstract: "The paper is organised in this manner. The first part of the paper lays out the theoretical background to conflict, its management and resolution. Within this section a brief description of rules and how they are related to conflict is given. This is followed by brief background to the study. Next, the IAD framework is presented and used as a tool to identify relevant issues to explore, particularly those related to rights, rules and their influence on conflicts in the use of Namungo and Lwamunda forest. This in turn is followed by a discussion of the types of conflict prevalent in these forests. Finally, a section on issues and impolications is given followed by the conclusion."
