Abstract

"This presentation attempts to explore the context and ways of addressing the challenge of forging an alliance of formal and folk ecological knowledge, along with an example of a concrete attempt to develop methodologies for doing so. Human interactions with natural living resources may be viewed along three dimensions; those of practices, knowledge and belief. Consider as an example, the interaction with trees of genus Ficus."
