Abstract

"In this paper, the authors: 1. Analyse the dynamics of the present global agri-food system at different scales; 2. Use a number of analytical lenses to assess the forces and factors leading to diverging rural livelihoods and landscapes, both in the North and South; and 3. Develop research themes which can serve as leverage points for practical policy change for more democratic and environmentally sustainable food and agricultural systems."
