Abstract

"This article documents field observations regarding several hands on situations that led to conflicts in Joint Forest Management (JFM) Projects tried out in tribal and rural areas of Southern Rajasthan, India. In this way, the article raises several fundamental flaws in the current format of JFM. In the end, author offers some thoughts on possible ways of overcoming some of the problems outlined in the article."
