dc.description.abstract"This document reports on the workshop on Fishing Communities and Sustainable Development in Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA): The Role of Small-scale Fisheries, organized by the International Collective in Support of Fishworkers (ICSF) in collaboration with the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA), the Masifundise Development Trust and the Coalition for Fair Fisheries Arrangements (CFFA). It was held at Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from 14 to 17 March 2006. Among the various issues discussed,co-management in fisheries drew considerable interest, as did examples of efforts to use local knowledge in decision-making processes in fisheries."en_US
