Abstract
"Factors causing a drive to integrated views: (1) biophysical scientists (often justifiably) characterised as having a narrow hypothetico-deductive view and being intolerant of anything not based on hard science; (2) social scientists (often justifiably) characterised as only seeing the world through 'psychological lenses' where human power relations transcend natural laws. As such, most interactions tend to be combative rather than collaborative. We believe that we can, jointly, do a lot better than this!"
