Legal Empowerment in Practice: Using Legal Tools to Secure Land Rights in Africa

Abstract

"In March 2008, the IIED, FAO and faculty of the University of Ghana jointly organized an international workshop to promote the exchange of experiences with legal empowerment among practitioners. Over the two days of the workshop, some 25 practitioners from different parts of Africa and Europe shared lessons and learned from each other's experiences with legal empowerment. This report captures the highlights of the workshop discussions."
