Abstract

"Humankind faces the most serious challenge ever – sustainable development. A new paradigm based on respect of nature and awareness of natural mechanisms is needed. The concept of exergy and exergy based methods offers a unique potential to support this. Applications to real problems and possible solutions related to environmental engineering are presented."
