Abstract: "Wetlands have been described as lands transitional between terrestrial and aquatic systems where the water table is usually at or near the surface or the land is covered by shallow water. The importance of wetlands lie in the fact that it maintains the food chain, ecological balance and absorb pollution, treat sewage and fulfills the requirement of fishes."
